World Breastfeeding Week continues with some great resources for childbirth educators, lactation consultants, and other perinatal professionals
August 1-7, 2017 is the silver (25th) anniversary celebration of World Breastfeeding Week. The 2017 theme is Sustaining Breastfeeding - Together. It is championed by the World Alliance of Breastfeeding Action and recognized around the globe.
Today I would like to share some of my favorite online resources for the birth professional, doula, childbirth educator, lactation consultant, midwife, L&D nurse or physician. These are valuable resources that I use during breastfeeding class, with birth doula clients and share with professionals.
The first week of August is internationally recognized as World Breastfeeding Week. Regular contributor Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, PhD, IBCLC, RLC, FAPA, shares an editorial on how breastfeeding may be able to help ease the effects of racism and discrimination.
August 1-7th is World Breastfeeding Week and August is recognized in the US as National Breastfeeding Month. Breastfeeding is a normal event that follows pregnancy and birth. Childbirth educators play a key role in helping families to be ready and prepared for breastfeeding their baby.
