Federal healthcare reform—or the effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act—continues to dominate Congress’ legislative agenda. Lamaze will continue to monitor healthcare reform efforts & will look for opportunities to advocate for improved childbirth outcomes—both for mothers & children.
Mindfulness is a new approach to preparing for childbirth that addresses fear and pain may improve self-efficacy in birth, may reduce the use of opiates in labor, and may prevent symptoms of postpartum depression. Lamaze and Mindfulness childbirth education may have a lot in common.
