LamazeLIVE! 2018 - Jam Packed with Dynamic Sessions

lamazelive.pngOne month from today I am going to be in San Antonio, Texas getting ready to listen to Program Chair Jamie Mueller open the LamazeLIVE 2018 event and get the show started.  The 2018 in person gathering is going to be unlike any previous conference.  Dynamic, fast-moving, and interactive are all words that come to mind when looking at the LamazeLIVE 2018 program.  I am particularly interested in watching Michele Deck spin her magic in this opening session.  Michele is a master at making learning fun and memorable and every time I have seen her sessions in the past I leave amazed and invigorated.I am also excited at the ample opportunity to network with my colleagues as we take the learning even further in Discussion Labs.

This year's event offers lots of opportunities to learn from leaders in the childbirth education field up close and personal.  You do not have to choose which sessions to go to, and worry about missing another equally interesting presentation.  Every attendee can attend every session in this new and exciting format.  Short and to the point presentations with ample time to connect with other event attendees to discuss and share ideas means that you will be leaving this year's meeting with plenty of new and fresh information to apply to your classes!  Plenary speakers like Nina Martin, the reporter at ProPublica who has been running the Lost Mothers series on NPR, will be discussing relevant content for contemporary educators.

Look for interviews with some of the plenary speakers in upcoming Science & Sensibility posts.

If you are unable to attend in person, Lamaze International has you covered with a virtual option.  Educators around the world can purchase for as many virtual sessions as they want and earn contact hours for their participation after completing the requirements.  Please do not let the fact that you are not traveling to the event in person prevent you from participating, learning and connecting with others.  To learn more about attending virtually, please go here.

Additionally, if you are planning to attend in person, there are some exciting pre-conference workshops to participate in for an additional fee. Choose from Evidence-Based Nursing: Labor Support Skills Workshop or a Childbirth Education Seminar.  These workshops offer additional learning and skill building opportunities.

Early-bird registration ends tomorrow, February 23rd, so be sure to secure your spot and save $100 on the event registration!  Register for LamazeLIVE! 2018 now.  See you in San Antonio!
